IMPORTANT INFORMATION

VJST2019 supports two types of proceedings, without and with ISBN publication. The former, regular proceedings, includes 1-2 pages extended abstracts and the latter, ISBN proceedings, is for 4-6 pages full papers. One author can make multiple submissions, each submission if accepted corresponds to an oral or poster presentation at the symposium. For each submission, authors are invited to submit either an extended abstract or a full paper, subject to their choice of proceedings.
Please use the template below to write your extended abstract or full paper to make sure that it meets the required format.

Submission Policy

For extended abstracts (for VJST2019 regular proceedings):
・VJST2019 strongly encourages prospective authors to submit their latest works, which have not been published elsewhere. However, we also welcome the submissions of the works which were published recently by the authors themselves. In this case, the authors should carefully prepare the paper to avoid self plagiarism.
・All the extended abstracts submitted for review will not be published. Authors who are accepted to present at the symposium need to submit a final version of abstract to be included in the regular proceedings (no ISBN publication) of VJST2019. This final version can be either an extended abstract (1-2 pages) or a short abstract (100-150 words) if the authors wish not to show unpublished data in the regular proceedings.
・If the authors would like to reuse copyrighted materials in this proceedings, the authors must ordinarily obtain permission from the copyright holder and clearly state it as follows “Reused (or) reproduced (or) reprinted from [citation] with permission from [publisher]”.

For full papers (for VJST2019 ISBN proceedings):
・The author should clearly state the originality of the paper. Submission of the ISBN proceedings implies that the work described has not been published elsewhere, and has been approved by all authors and tacitly or explicitly by the responsible authorities where the work was carried out. Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must be given.
・All the submitted papers will undergo a standard review process for a scientific paper. Plagiarism in all its forms is not acceptable. Each paper will be carefully reviewed by at least two experts in the field. The papers still can be rejected if the authors do not make revisions required by the reviewers.
・The paper for conference proceedings with ISBN publication must be 4 to 6 pages in length.
・All the accepted papers must be presented at the symposium in designated sessions. If the presenting authors do not show up or do not present as required, the paper will be removed from the proceedings.
・Permission must be obtained for use of copyrighted material from other sources (including the Internet).
